The Janus Center for Personal Growth is named after the Roman god Janus, as is January. Janus has two faces, one looking to the past and one to the future.
In very specific ways we help our clients look to their own experience, history, skills, etc. to find the creativity to solve their current challenges and problems.
"Shift Perception. Improve Performance."
Why is it that two people who experience an event can respond so differently... and each insists they are right. A compliment can be taken as a slur. A joke can be interpreted as a slight or even sexual harassment. One person can find a movie hilarious and another be bored to the point of walking out.
We don't respond to the events in our lives - we respond to the meaning the event has for us... our Internal Representation of the event is our individual "reality" of the event.
Internal Representations (IR) are mostly unconscious, below the veneer of conscious awareness. We sort events through many filters including how we feel at the moment (physically and emotionally), our memories, values, beliefs, attitudes, emotions, etc. And our interpretation, our IR, is unique to us since no one else has had exactly the same experiences, they can not have the same filters and therefore; they can not have the same IR or experience of an event.
Fortunately, we can change our filters to be more in line with our desires. You can learn to train your mind to literally find more of what you want and less of what you don't want... in business, in relationships, in life.
At the Janus Center for Personal Growth, we have built a solid reputation over nearly a decade helping people make this shift. We are now bringing these tried and true techniques to public awareness through various corporate and pubic venues.
You too can shift perception and improve performance.
